If you want to make a study Bible useful for today’s teenagers, it should address modern cultural topics while equipping readers with God’s timeless truths. The ESV Teen Study Bible is a perfect balance of modern theologians coming alongside God’s Word without making commentators and article authors the main voice. While there are several fantastic articles addressing critical topics for today’s teenagers including doubt, sexuality, gender, and life online, the main voice teenagers will hear through all these subjects is still the voice of the Lord through his holy Word. This is the teen study Bible this generation desperately needs.

As a pastor I’m often asking the question, ‘How do we get our teens into God’s Word and provide them with all the tools they need to read, understand, and profit from it?’ The ESV Teen Study Bible has wonderfully answered my question.

I love the ESV Teen Study Bible’s holistic approach to studying God’s Word. This resource helps teens understand biblical texts in their historical, literary, and whole-Bible contexts, while also instructing in doctrine and applying it to everyday life. Various reflections and articles address critical topics related to following Jesus in our modern world. I wish I had this when I was younger!
