Most of us feel that life is rushing past us. We reach the end of another day or week or year and wonder where it went. So we double down on trying to do more or do better—or distract ourselves with the many diversions the 21st century has to offer. But often we’re so busy thinking about the next thing that we’re at risk of missing the main thing: the people and places God has put in front of us, right here, right now.
There is a better way to live. In this thought-provoking book, Adam Ramsey helps us to embrace the time and place we are in and to live each day fully and faithfully present with God and with others. Readers will discover fresh joy in the little ...things, freedom from the tyranny of time and contentment in every season of life.

Once you have read this book you will wait to read it again. It is very insightful and you should see yourself numerous times in it.
It will help to refresh your soul and give you hope for the week ahead.
It will help you set boundaries on your time from pausing each day to how you spend the Sabbath. It is written not from rebuke but from love and concern. Very personal and helpful.
You will benefit greatly from reading this book.

If you have ever been frustrated by not having enough time for everything, or by time seeming to drag, by nostalgia for the past or anxiety about the future, or if you have ever wished you were somewhere else doing something else, if the grass always seems greener anywhere but where you are, this book is for you! Adam Ramsey reminds us that God is sovereign over the seasons of our life, which means we need to trust him even in the seasons that we wish we could escape. And that we are where God has placed us – ‘Just ...as we live in a “now” we also live in a “here”. And wherever here is, it is the exact geographical location that God calls you to treat with attentiveness and care’
This book helps us in our calling is to live faithfully present in the time and place in which God has placed us. I read it a few weeks ago, and immediately read it again – there was more wisdom here than I could take in in one go. I just wish I had been able to read it 40 years ago!

I have just read this book during a season of immobility following an accident, & it was the most helpful book I could have read. When one is ‘laid aside’ it is easy to feel inadequate & useless, & this book answers all those thoughts. Enjoying God each day that He has given us, whatever the day may bring, is transformative, , & I highly recommend this book to anyone, whatever season we are in.
