“A Study Guide That Helps You Think for Yourself”
I received a copy of this book from the publisher. My review reflects my honest opinion.
I'm currently teaching through Daniel with my youth group, so this guide couldn't have arrived at a better time.
One thing I really appreciate is that it doesn't do all the thinking for you. Instead of immediately explaining every passage, it asks good questions that help you slow down, observe what's actually in the text, and work toward the meaning yourself.
Daniel can feel overwhelming at times, especially once you get into the prophetic visions. I found this guide especially helpful because it consistently draws your attention to the most important parts of each passage without getting lost in the details.
The pacing also felt just right, and I liked that each lesson has a natural stopping point if you want to split it into two sessions.
One small critique is that some of the observation questions felt a bit basic at times. That said, I think that's intentional. This guide is meant to help people build confidence in studying Scripture, and it provides an excellent foundation without becoming overwhelming.
If you're looking for a guide that helps you grow as a Bible reader instead of simply giving you answers, I'd definitely recommend this one.
Thanks so much for this thoughtful review, Erick! We're so glad that it's helping you as you teach your youth group.
