Share the joy of spreading Christ's love with courage and humility. Kids will be inspired as they read the true story of Amy Carmichael.
At a time when being a single female missionary was extremely costly, she spent her life sharing Christ’s love with hundreds of women and children in Asia. Along the way, she adapted to fit into cultures very different from her own, learned to depend on God in prayer, and became a mother to many children who had been sold, kidnapped, outcast or abandoned.
This beautifully illustrated children's biography of Amy Carmichael (1867-1951) features stylish illustrations and extra facts in the back. It is part of the ...Do Great Things for God series, which is designed to show kids that God uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things.
These stories can be read to young children or enjoyed independently by early readers. The free extras make these stories useful for Sunday school, missions events, and more.
I purchased a set for my granddaughter and could not be more thrilled with how they look but more importantly their content. Every little girl needs heroes to follow. Those who followed Christ are the ones that can inspire exactly who I pray she will one day be. Thank you for providing this resource.
"Amy promised to spend her life going and telling people about Jesus. She decided to become a missionary."
I was so excited to see this volume added to the Do Great Things for God series. Amy Carmichael is one of my favorite Christians to read about. As a little girl, Amy begged God to change her eyes to blue. She learned that God doesn't always answer prayers the way she expected. One day, Amy helped a poor woman carry a ...heavy load while onlookers frowned. This didn't stop her. She continued to help the poor. Amy asked God for help and He answered. She kept a prayer journal and made notes of all the many prayers God answered for His glory. Later, Amy became a missionary. Amy Carmichael is a wonderful example for our children, showing them the power of prayer and reminding them to help the poor.
These little books are simple yet well written and beautifully illustrated. It is absolutely wonderful to see how God used these godly women to reach the world with the gospel and to encourage young people to follow God today! Thank you for this series of books that encourage the next generation and each of us who read them to seek to follow God as well.
