At our church we hand out Easter books to all the kids on Palm Sunday, as a way to help parents prepare their children for Holy Week. We try to pick a new book each year, and when I came across this one I was a bit skeptical, but it was really great. The fact that it's a book with legos did not detract from the story, it came across in a way that children would be able to easily read themselves and understand. The Easter Story Brick by Brick is the latest title in the Brick by Brick series by Go Chatter Studios and The Good Book Company. Using scenes constructed with LEGO blocks and characters, this book tells the events of Holy Week in rhyming format.
This book is a helpful tool for parents to use with their kids. It's fun and engaging, and includes a QR code at the back of the book that, when scanned, includes directions for building an Easter scene with LEGOs. The story is available as a stop motion video on YouTube. My kids love LEGO blocks, and love this book series. I'm so glad to have this in our lineup of Easter books in our home library, and can't wait to see what's next in this series!
