Endorsements

I love this small group study guide series from The Good Book Company. Christians are regularly told they should spend more time studying God’s Word, but sometimes there’s not a clear plan for how to do this. These study guides provide practical, step-by-step guidance on working through books of the Bible, along with wonderful questions that encourage reflection and application. I hope churches and Christian ministries will take advantage of this wonderful resource.

The aim of the The Good Book Company is to be biblical, relevant and accessible, and nothing embodies that ethos more than their Good Book Guides. Each guide provides a framework for your group to dig into the text of Scripture for itself while providing enough of a steer to keep you on track plus useful pointers towards application. The result is a great combination of fidelity to Scripture and ease of use.

The Good Book Guides are an immensely precious resource for the church. A careful blend of helpful context and clearly-worded, searching questions which aim to help readers to uncover the meaning of the text and  apply it in responsible ways. I think these small group studies are the best available and pray that they will continue to prove helpful to local churches across the world!

5.00 stars An excellent study guide.

(Review written for 'Ruth: Poverty and Plenty')

I have yet to be disappointed by this study guide series. This, the latest one that I have used, is proving to be an excellent help in unwrapping this delightful little book ,which is set in such dark and difficult times.I am using it in a housegroup setting where some folk have never encountered Ruth, and the background and info. are extremely helpful.

5.00 stars Great!

(Review written for 'Ruth: Poverty and Plenty (ebook)')

Thoughtful study guide where I learnt lots new about a book I thought I knew well. As well as in depth biblical study , it also linked to refugees and how we do church. First study guide I’ve seen that can be equally enjoyed by new and ‘old’ Christians!

4.00 stars good introduction to this series

(Review written for 'Ruth: Poverty and Plenty')

I am in 2 very different groups. We decided to try Ruth,as the usual church material came only erratically .Ruth would be short, and a good test to see how we got on. We have found it good on all counts, opened up the scriptures - we had no idea Deuteronomy was such a vital book - and also resulted in helpful discussion of personal problems etc, We think we may continue with another book but haven't told the Clergy, they might disapprove of us stepping out of line!
