About this book

Old age often gets a bad press. Associated with grumpiness, aches and pains, loneliness, and isolation, it’s not something we particularly look forward to or relish when we’re there.

Pastor and Bible teacher, Derek Prime, himself in his 80s, shows us that there is another way to view old age. He guides us through 26 Christian priorities that we should hold to in later life. With biblical wisdom and practical advice, he helps us to navigate the unique challenges and joys that old age can bring. This is a book to dip into, meditate on and read prayerfully as you let the truths it contains gently transform the way you live your old age.

5.00 stars The Good Old Age

I can thoroughly recommend "A Good Old Age" having read it four times and given a number of copies to friends. Not only for those who have already reached the good old age but for younger people too.

5.00 stars Excellent

Such a refreshment spiritually for all ages but for older age group some really helpful perspectives.

5.00 stars Not just for wrinklies!

An excellent Christian perspective on growing old. Not a book to read cover to cover it is better to treat Derek Prime’s work as a series of seminars: an A to Z for loving and following Christ Jesus in later years.
The 26 Christian priorities is a suitable manual for Christians of any age not just golden oldies! My advice would be read it sooner rather than later in life. I will definitely buy copies for my Christian friends.
