The Good Book Company knows that you care how information about you is gathered, used and shared, and we appreciate your trust in us to take your privacy seriously. This privacy notice concerns all data gathered online: how it is collected, stored and used, and what your options are.
Your IP address
When you download content inside the app, your device will connect to our servers in order to retrieve the content files. This requires that your device communicates its IP address, which identifies your device on the internet.
We only use your IP address for two purposes:

Your email address
You can share your email address with us via the 'Link your device' feature, which allows you to link your devices together so that notes downloaded on one are available on another. We use these submitted email addresses for three purposes:

We only collect the minimum amount of data necessary for the functionality of the app. This data is stored in a securely designed system, with access only by authorised staff who need to have access. The software platform hosting the system is regularly updated with security patches, and regular assessments of platform stability, security and configuration are made to check for vulnerabilities or evidence of compromise.
You can request that your email address be deleted from the 'link your account' feature. Please contact us at hello@thegoodbook.co.uk, sending an email with the subject 'Explore App - Data Deletion Request', from the email address that you wish to be deleted.
Note that we will store the email that you send to us as evidence of your request.
