This is a truly brilliant resource which I would recommend to all readers of the Bible, both seasoned and beginners. As well as presenting the Bible itself, it is fantastically well-researched and has a depth of information which helps to open up the Scriptures. How often I can find myself reading a passage of the Bible and being slightly (or completely) confused by a reference - the ESV helps to enlighten, guide, educate and encourage. It also gives a lot of historical context around each book of the Bible which adds to its usefulness. All in all, a great book.
