Tile Kiln Church Bookstall

Very helpful and warm book about why there is suffering. This is a must read for every Christian (both for yourself, and to help when talking to others about suffering and Christianity). This is also one to give away to non-Christian friends who are asking questions.

TKC recommended reading for summer 2021 - and also what our summer sermon series is based on. This is probably the best book I (Tim Goodall) have ever read...! The chapters are short, and Ortlund's writing is clear and helpful. You won't regret reading this, but you might regret it if you don't!

Recommended reading to explore further the Kingdom Habit 'The Bible & Bible Study' - see Grant's talk of 17 January.

A short and readable book on why the Bible so, so important for us to hear God speak and know how to live in the light of his great promises. Without the Bible, we're going to be tossed about by every wave of opinion... Kevin DeYoung tells us why we need the Bible to anchor us.

This is our recommended reading for the autumn 2020. Tim Chester explores what it means to really live as Jesus' followers in the every day. It's not about doing "great things" for Jesus, it's about everyday faithfulness to Jesus and Biblical faith day in and day out, in homes, workplaces, schools, universities, gyms, Tesco, and on the A12... this books explores what Kingdom living really looks like.

An excellent, readable, short book on prayer that actually makes you want to pray! Current book being read in Clare's Zoom bookclubs.

This is a very helpful book to help shape how you pray through the current crisis. It doesn't just tell you what to pray for, but guides you through actually praying.

Helps to understand why our culture's greatest value - being true to ourselves - is actually enslaving us, and not setting us free. And leads us to see how Jesus gives us true freedom.

We often feel weak, and that can lead to shame and guilt. This is especially so in our current pandemic. If that is you, let Jim Packer help you explore 2 Corinthians, where Paul says that weakness is the only way to live as Christians. Short, easy to read - consider this as a devotional over the summer months.

This is brilliant! Setting out the big story of the Bible in a fun and accessible way that children understand. I've not found a better book to explain to children what God has done through Jesus to bring us back to himself.

Another excellent one in this series - this one is fantastic in explaining who Jesus is. This is also good to give away - a present possibility for the next time there's a birthday in your child's class? Be courageous, go for it!

Especially now that issues around race and injustice are gripping our world, here's Jesus' vision for his people. Another excellent book in this series for children.

Our TKC recommended reading for 2019 - if you've not had a chance to read it yet, do! Chandler helps us to see how and why we can be courageous in the face of the challenges of our culture.

Our TKC recommended reading for 2019 - if you've not had a chance to read it yet, do! Evangelism is scary - but Rico Tice combines a deep love of Jesus, Biblical truth, and practical guidance to help every Christian share the good news of Jesus.
