We love the Jesus Storybook Bible. It is so true to the big narrative of the bible, retelling familiar stories in accessible language that gets to the heart of the story and leading us appropriately to the centre of the bible story - the person of Jesus - on every occasion. We have bought it repeatedly for friends when they have children, and every one of them has come back & told us their children love hearing stories from it. Recently I gave it to an adult who has difficulty reading. He was attending Alpha and said he would like ...a Bible but couldn't read well enough to use one. I gave him this one, and he says the pictures, the style of writing, and the way the stories has told has helped him to understand the Bible for the first time in his life.
