The Radical Book for Kids is a fun-filled, hardback encyclopedia of truth for 8-12 year olds.
This beautiful, hardback book is fun-filled explorer’s guide to the Bible, church history, and the Christian life for boys and girls age eight and up. Vibrantly illustrated and chock-full of fun facts and ideas, this interactive book competes with screen time by stimulating children’s natural curiosity and sense of adventure!
The short, engaging chapters take children on a journey into the ancient church that is actually fascinating, funny, and fun to read. Kids learn about ancient weapons (and how to make one), create pottery, discover ancient languages, use secret codes, locate stars, tell time using the sun, play a board game that’s 3,000 years old—and more. They’ll also learn all about the Bible and how to read it, about the men and women who learned to trust Jesus and stand for him even when everything seemed against them, and they'll pick up some top tips for living the Christian life.
Check out the table of contents, skip around, or read straight through. However a child or tween chooses to explore it, The Radical Book for Kids will get kids reading while communicating big truths.

As the father of four teens, I found this a fun, informative, and spiritually edifying resource. Alongside telling us where weapons came from, young readers (and older ones) learn how to spend daily time with the Lord. The Radical Book for Kids is like an encyclopedia of Truth. Thornton has done something magical here. I’m thankful my kids are still young, so I can use this book to teach them about the roots of our faith. The Radical Book for Kids is radical indeed—radically helpful, radically good.
We’re living at a time when we have some exceptional children’s books available to us, books to complement and supplement the precious truths we want our children to know and to believe. It is especially noteworthy in that it is meant to be read by children rather than to children and in its excellent design that will effectively draw and hold their attention. It’s a book I recommend and one I will be encouraging my children to read.... continue reading
