Is it really possible to face the final stages of our earthly lives with confidence and without fear?

Mark Ashton describes his own experience of imminent death from inoperable cancer. Real confidence, he explains, is found in the resurrection of Jesus Christ - an event which, even though it happened 2,000 years ago, has profound implications for us today.

“Facing life and death with wisdom”

This us an excellent small book, written in a pithy straight to the point style, that brings all the key points across about the real hope of Heaven. Suitable for anyone genuinely seeking practical wisdom and guidance on facing up to death, and eternal issues.

“Honest and helpful”

Some weeks ago I was asked to visit a lady in our parish. She was dying and had asked to see me so that she could plan her funeral. That is an unusual request from anyone, let alone someone who had not been a regular churchgoer since her youth. Her courage was notable. In addition to helping her talk about the funeral, I was able to give her a copy of this book in which Mark Ashton speaks clearly and honestly about his own terminal illness and prospect of dying. Two weeks ago, I conducted her funeral, and today we laid her ashes to rest. Because of this book, this lady had the opportunity to hear how the good news of Jesus' resurrection speaks to her - as indeed it does to all of us who have our dying still to do.
