Gender Questions

The feministic tide of opinion, which is changing the landscape of society in deep and drastic ways, was a movement born out of genuine frustrations and legitimate grievances on the part of women. It cannot be denied that many women are treated unfairly, or that there are acute problems which should command sympathy. But is the solution, as many people suggest, to legislate away as far as possible all distinctions between male and female? Is the blurring of gender really progress? Will it actually bring about a better deal in society for women? Or is this all a fallacy?
