Brilliant

My 3 year old loves Beginning with God, and the Beginner's Bible is an excellent first Bible. We had been given a different first Bible which was too advanced so I highly recomment the Beginner's Bible. Have ordered the remaining books of Beginning with God and then will start over again with Book 1 as there are extra stickers included.

Excellent resource

My nearly 3 year old enjoys these notes. Admittedly we only do the main part of the study each day but she enjoys the short bible stories that correspond with the study using the bible story book recommended with this study. The questions do require her to think about the story that has been explored without requiring complicated answers, therefore her enjoyment is enhanced when she correctly answers a question.

The short prayers have also helped her to sit quietly and repeat the words that are suggested in the study. She also occasionally says her own prayers also. Really good habit that she looks forward to each evening. I'm going to be running through the books very quickly at this rate!!

The stickers have appealed to my daughter - sticking a sticker on the page when she completes her story and questions. Extra stickers are also supplied - handy for when we will do the book again at a later date. Great that extra stickers can be purchased without buying the book again.

An excellent resource for preschoolers who want to explore but keeping things simple for them so they don't become bored too quickly.

Brilliant for preschoolers

These short bible stories have kept my nearly 3 year old amused since we got her the bible in November. She loves the coloured pictures and likes to point things out. She's enjoying this bible in conjunction with the corresponding bible notes.

A fantastic resource

My wife and I always intended to start family devotional times with our 3 year old, but didn't really know where to start (and I'm a pastor!). 'Beginning with God' makes it both easy and a joy to do. Our son loves the stories and stickers, and the format of starter question - prayer - Bible reading - questions - prayer is one he's really enjoyed. Also, we've got a fair few children's bibles at home, but the Beginner's Bible really is excellent. Highly recommended for children and parents!

The Beginers Bible

My Grandson has not seen this book yet as I have bought it for his birthday which is in July, but I am very pleased with it as it is very colourful just what youngsters need to attract their attention.

A really good resource for pre-school

This is one of the main books we use for our pre-school Mums and tots group. The stories always get the main point of the story across without distortion or omission. (Many children's Bibles are short on judgement.) The only slight downside of this book are the pictures - you get used to them I suppose. If I am going to buy a 2-5 yr old child a Bible this is it.

Excellent resource

I am working my way through this book with my 4 year old son - he is loving it, he asks every night for a story from his "sticker book". He's memorised the opening prayer already :)

What a brilliant way to introduce the Bible to young children and to get them into the habit of regular Bible reading.

Looking forward to starting on Book 2 soon.

I have 2 boys, one aged 5 and the other 2 and a half. I think that these notes would be perfect for 3 - 4 year olds but is a little easy for my 5 year old. However, we have been adapting the questions for him and they both love the stickers - sometimes so much there is a problem over who gets to stick!! I think the thing I've found most helpful is the suggestion for prayer time of "hands up" we talk about God and "hands in" we talk about us as it has helped get a more structured prayer time for the boys as previously we've struggled to get them to think about God before themselves!

Excellent

This has worked really well with my 4.5 and 3 year old. Unlike a lot of material (we had been adapting church group / Sunday School material) aimed at this age group, it doesn't involve lots of preparation beforehand. It is very good for getting into the habit of reading the Bible and praying with little ones. The stickers are, of course, very popular. I think it can also be used for reception year children, especially if they haven't had much Bible input.
