About:

With A Passion for Life nationwide mission still echoing in our ears, May will be the ideal month to ask ‘What Kind Of Man?'. We need to ask it of Jesus and we need to ask it of ourselves. That is what we will be doing as we look together at chapters 8 to 10 of Matthew’s Gospel at the inaugural Bristol Men’s Convention.

We will be excited as we re-visit the fact that Jesus is the King who fulfills the Old Testament and as He confronts the world we are shown his unique mix of "absolute authority" and "amazing grace". We are praying for our lives to be shaped by a fresh sight of Him.

We have 3 key speakers:

Rupert Bentley-Taylor: pastor of a church in Bath. Rupert is a visiting lecturer at the Cornhill Training Course in London, lectures at preaching training conferences in India and is just ending his term as president of FIEC.

Mike Cain: author of Real Life Jesus and leader of a church plant in Bristol. Mike spoke last year at the London Men’s Convention and has been speaking at many ‘A Passion for Life’ events.

John Stevens: the co-chair of A Passion for Life and a founding pastor of a church in the heart of Birmingham. John was a law lecturer and has recently been appointed the first director of FIEC.
