About:
‘Walking with Jesus’. It isn’t language that we often use to describe the Christian life! However the idea of ‘walking’ to describe our relationship with the Lord runs right through the Bible. Old Testament men, like Enoch and Noah, are those who ‘walked with God’. In the New Testament it is one of Paul’s favourite ideas – he uses it eight times in Ephesians alone!
At the 2010 Men’s Convention we are going to be looking at what it means to ‘walk with Jesus’ and how can we do it better! This year we have two main speakers. Christopher Ash, director of the Cornhill Training Course in London, which equips men and women to teach the Bible. Christopher, having had many years experience of local church ministry, will bring us two expositions from John’s Gospel. David Johnston who is pastor of Hamilton Road Presbyterian Church in Bangor Northern Ireland will show us from the New Testament the fruit we can expect from walking with Jesus.
The convention will also provide a great opportunity to enjoy fellowship with men from a wide variety of churches, and be a brilliant opportunity to encourage each other in our Christian walk.
