With A Passion for Life nationwide mission only a year away and London buses proclaiming the fool’s message that there (probably) is no God (Psalm 14:1), it’s obvious that this city and nation urgently need to hear about Jesus in language they can understand.
Therefore, at our Convention this year, moving to ExCeL in Docklands, we’re focusing firmly on our Lord Jesus Christ Himself.
We’re thrilled that Wes McNabb, pastor of a thriving inner city church in Plumstead, will expound the beautiful character of Jesus under the title “He came as King” from Matthew 14. We’re equally delighted that Mike Cain, author of Real Life Jesus and leader of a plant church outside Bristol, will expound the magnificent truth that “He will return in glory” from 2 Thessalonians 1.
At the heart of our Convention, we’re privileged to welcome Tim Keller, senior pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in New York. Tim is the author of various books, including the wonderful New York Times Bestseller, The Reason for God. He is the visionary-scholar-preacher used by God in bringing extraordinary church-growth to secular Manhattan and is known both as a clear, faithful expounder of God’s Word and an incisive analyst of modern western culture. He will be expounding the glorious facts: “He died for sins” and “He rose to rule” from John’s gospel.
This is the gospel that remains the power for salvation today – Jesus Christ our Lord came as our King, died for our sins, rose to rule and will return as our judge. The London Men’s Convention exists to encourage men to live for Christ, to be men of Jesus.
With Stuart Townend leading our praises, and thousands of Christian brothers to warm our hearts, this promises to be a wonderful day. Don’t miss it!
