Great little kids devotional
(Review written for 'XTB 1: The Book of Beginnings')
My eldest kids are 9 and 7 and we use this book as part of our morning devotions. The kids really like it because the activities are interesting and not too difficult for them. Although the scripture readings are quite short, the questions and activities really get the kids to engage with what they have read. Also, you stay with the same book for a while so there is good continuity - if they are distracted one day, they usually get more understanding the next day. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was that I think it's quite light and I supplement it with Discover For Yourself Bible Studies For Kids from Precept Ministries which we do later in the day. All in all though, these are fantastic resources (one needed for each child) and I would highly recommend them. ![]()
XTB bible notes
Bought these for my daughters age 6 and 7. Both love doing their bible notes each night. My 6 year old struggles with the reading and some of the puzzles bur this doesn't deter her and with a little help she keeps up with her sister! Such a privilege to guide them as they learn from the bible themselves. The conversations we have had about the subjects they have been learning about have been amazing. The notes point them each day to the Saviour - what more can I add?! ![]()
