Great little kids devotional
(Review written for 'XTB 1: The Book of Beginnings')
My eldest kids are 9 and 7 and we use this book as part of our morning devotions. The kids really like it because the activities are interesting and not too difficult for them. Although the scripture readings are quite short, the questions and activities really get the kids to engage with what they have read. Also, you stay with the same book for a while so there is good continuity - if they are distracted one day, they usually get more understanding the next day. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was that I think it's quite light and I supplement it with Discover For Yourself Bible Studies For Kids from Precept Ministries which we do later in the day. All in all though, these are fantastic resources (one needed for each child) and I would highly recommend them. ![]()
Great buy for kids that like to do written activities
(Review written for 'XTB: Christmas Unpacked')
My 7 year old daughter has done several books in this series and loves them. This one did not disappoint ! She loved the rescue sticker. The teaching was very clear and made me think too! ![]()
