Paul shows us that there is only one way back to peace: and that is through trusting in the work of Jesus.

Description

In a world where strife, stress and violence abound, the idea of peace seems far away. Is it possible to find peace when so many awful things happen in the world? And yet, one of the key ideas of Romans is that we can find peace, even peace with God.
And the way to peace? There is only one way to peace; and that is through trusting in the work of Jesus.

This simple study takes us through the key passages in the letter in nine studies, and shows us the great saving power of the God in whom we trust.

Newcomers to Romans will have the entire scope of the book laid out before them, with the key landmarks shown in depth and clarity. And those who are more familiar with Romans will find these studies a refreshing look at the gospel that brings us peace with God.

Leader's notes are included.

About Pathway Bible Guides

Peace with God is part of this new series of Pathway Bible Guides. They aim to provide simple, straightforward Bible study material for:
  • Christians who are new to studying the Bible (perhaps because they've been recently converted or because they have joined a Bible study group for the first time);
  • Christians with lower literacy levels who find other studies (such as the Good Book Guides or Interactive Bible Studies) too much of a stretch.

Accordingly, the studies are designed to be short, straightforward and easy to use, with an uncomplicated vocabulary. At the same time, the writers have tried to do justice to the passages being studied and to model good Bible-reading principles. They have tried to be simple without being simplistic; no-nonsense without being no-content.

The questions and answers assume a small group context but can easily be adapted to suit different situations, such as individual study and one to one.

Customer Reviews

Romans is still a challenging book!

 For Christians who are quite mature in their faith, this study guide should present no problems and would, in fact, be really helpful for emphasising key gospel facts and enhanching what you already believe. However, Pathway Study Guides give the impression of being a bit simpler and therefore easier for any Christian to use and learn more about God. Romans is still a challenging book to study, even with this guide, and new/young-in-faith Christians may struggle to understand the message which is being taught.

Ideally suited to the needs of our HomeFellowship Group

 We chose this guide for our group of up to 10 church members to help us access the Book of Romans. Most members of the group have been committed Christians for some years, whilst others have only recently come to faith. Although we're only part way through we're already finding that the guide strikes a good balance between informing, questioning and allowing the Bible to speak for itself.
