DVD + notes direct participants to God's agenda for us

The course's emphasis is on the goals that God puts before us rather than on those (limited) things about which we seek guidance. Through video (the DVD is essential), Bible study and discussion we are encouraged to conform to God's desire for us (repentance, faith, holiness) and look to his assured end for us. This puts our own 'important' matters (marriage, work etc.) into a different perspective about which we should exercise wisdom.

So far, the material has been less controversial than we expected despite going against received wisdom.

Leaders might wish to explore special versus normative guidance a little more.
