I bought The Big Picture Story Bible after some research for my 5yr old Grand-Daughter as Madison told me she believed in God. I wanted her to know the Lord so I checked it out for her. I was delighted at the size scope and message this book contains. It is a GREAT purchase and one I will make again if any of my other Grand-Children ask me.

Given as gift to our 5 year old Grand daughter. A good overview of themes through the Bible. A great introduction to the whole picture.

Have bought this for a young lad who responds to large bold pictures. The Biblical accounts are very faithful to scripture and accurate in their use of language. Some of the vocabulary would suit a 7 or 8 year old, so covers a wide age range. Very young children can engage with the illustrations and understand quite a bit of the teaching. The illustrations cover both the original scene as well as bringing it up to date with good interactive questions woven in to the text and with up to date illustrations. It picks key teachings from the Bible and makes them accessible and meaningful to the young mind. Many accounts are given good coverage spanning several pages. It is in hardback and superbly illustrated, so amazing value. American spelling hardly noticeable!

My older two kids (3 and 5) are loving this Bible. It's great to teach them the main themes of the Bible rather that just individual stories.

Illustrations are very good too and there is just enough text to read and also explain in your own words to the kids what it means.

Worth having it!!!

I gave this bible as a baptismal gift to friends. They are thrilled with this as the publication is of very high quality, teaching from the beautiful illustrations the story of the bible. As your child grows they will come to understand scripture (first of all from pictures)and later when they learn to read. The two year old was entranced with the pictures.. a great learning tool!

This colourful and beautifully illustrated story Bible takes kids and parents clearly and simply through the key themes of the Bible, promoting understanding of it as a whole book. I wish I'd had one as a kid!

We've loved using this Bible with our kids (3&4 years old) and have enjoyed being able to trace the Big Picture story through it with the text and pictures.

An excellent purchase thoroughly enjoyed by the 6 year old recipient. Written in a clear and simple style, which accurately and concisely portrays the message of the Bible right from Genesis to Revelation. The illustrations are delightful and appropriate. Can only give a wholehearted recommendation of this book.

A super book for families, and a little different from the norm. Great as a gift.
