Five talks from the November 25, 2003 AIM Day.
Preaching the word of God is one of the key elements of church life. And yet there are few resources available to help people think through this most critical of activities. The Australian Institute of Ministry (
AIM) wants to change that, and this one-day conference is a good example of their commitment.
The particular focus of the day was the relationship between exposition, biblical theology and systematic theology. The set includes two Bible studies by Phillip Jensen as well as Phillip's deconstruction and critique of one of his studies in which he gives us a guided tour of the inner logic of his sermon.
John Woodhouse speaks on the place of systematic theology in exposition. Finally, Greg Clarke presents a stimulating talk on preaching as performance.
If you're a preacher who would like to be challenged and encouraged to continual improvement, this series is a must.
