A great Bible study for people who want to learn more about the faith.

Very good and nicely laid out, used with the preparing just for starters it is a great resource. Good mixture of simple comprehension questions and the think it through questions to vary the focus of the study. Identical content to the back to basics study which has more things within it i.e. testimonies and stories etc. which i would say makes it a little better than just for starters.

This is such a good book for new christians, or those thinking of becoming a christian. I was recommended this book by my pastor and so glad that he did. The studies are short so not too complicated for a new christian. Would highly recommend this to anyone.

I love Just for Starters. Not only does it take us through really foundational stuff like grace, reading the Bible, prayer etc, but it also really helps new Christians pick up great habits of how to go about reading the Bible - reading a verse in context, trying to rephrase it and so on.

I have used this many times with small groups and one to one. It's great at clarifying issues of salvation and what it means to be a Christian.

excelant book for people wanting to know more with little bible knowledge

I found this very helpful to do in one-to-one situations but I got lots out of it myself. It goes through very slowly the basics of the gospel and allows lots of time for the truths to sink in. it is also easy to adapt to be short or to have 'homework' and can be used for personal devotionals.

I have been using this booklet with a small pre-Confirmation adult group. What I've appreciated about it is the way in which it clarifies key issues of salvation, enabling those studying the course to discern where they stand spiritually. It is also helpful in providing homework for the group to attend to during the week. It keeps to the biblical text which is also a strength.
