When Kathy Diosy touched the boots of the hanged men, the ones who had murdered families like hers and destroyed countless lives, she felt pleasure - the pleasure of revenge.
From Budapest to Vienna, from Austria to Australia, the story of Kathy's escape from the Nazis is also one of escape from bitterness and hatred.
It's a journey to discover who needs to forgive whom.

An encouraging holiday read...
Review by Phoebe Dickinson | 15.02.2008

I enjoyed reading this detailed and vividly personal account of one woman's survival through the Nazi regime. I read it over a two day period - so it was certainly gripping - however, I think I was expecting more detail of how Kathy Diosy's life had changed since becoming a christian. I was eagerly anticipating the part of the book where we learnt about Jesus awesome sacrifice for Kathy, but felt it was rather rushed and crammed into the last chapter or so. As a result you were left with a long (but no doubt interesting) account of her sufferring in the Nazi regime, and not an abounding amount of detail to do with her faith.

Overall an encouraging and inspiring read.
