It's one of the best ways to start your day. Explore helps you to really get to grips with the Bible, particularly those difficult passages. It helps you to pray, apply the Bible to your life and it also helps you to look at all books of the Bible over a few years.

I thoroughly recommend it. It means you can have a decent time with God without taking so long that you don't get round to it. I enjoy my time with God!

Daily bible study is one of those things you know is a good idea but if you're like me you just never find the time for it. I've never been able to follow daily study notes for more than a few days. Until I tried the Explore notes. I've found them challenging thought provoking and most of all interesting for over three months so far.........

I've been using these notes for a few months now and would really reccommend them. The layout is clear and easy to follow with plenty of material to help you get into each passage.

I have not used Bible notes before, or rather I have not found notes which suited me and that I wanted to day by day.

Explore is great and helps me to think about the passage in fresh ways and pray it through too.

I have used Explore for a few years now and it has helped me to develop my relationship with God by using it every day to increase my understanding of Him and the Scriptures. It has a brilliant mix of insightful theology and practical application joining the spiritual to the everyday.

Having come to faith relatively recently, these Bible reading notes were recommended to me by someone who uses them regularly. Having not really used any others, I can't compare them easily, but I am finding them useful. I like the way they break up the reading to focus you on different aspects, and include readings from other parts of the Bible that add to the meaning. It's helping to give me the "bigger picture".

I will be continuing to use them daily to add focus and direction to my Bible reading.

(Does seem odd that a year subscription has to go Jan-Dec as this wasn't clearly specified before I bought them.)

Very refreshing and helpful

I have been using the Explore bible study guides for four months now with great results. By results I mean I am able to study the bible in 'bite size' chunks and then transfer the reading into my everyday life. They take about 15 mins to do, I really look forward to reading them at anytime of the day.

I have found the "Explore" notes very helpful: I am getting much more out of the time I spend with God, and I am learning so much about His character. The format is easy to follow, and I like having the ocntinuity of going through a book in the Bible

I had received a copy of the Explore - Time With God publication from my mother-in-law and thought it was brilliant. After working my way through each page, I decided to subscribe for one year to Explore. As a new Christian, I find Explore an excellent learning tool. It is a good means of studying passages from the Bible, in depth, but not too heavy that you get lost. There's also plenty of 'food for thought' pointers and prayer tips. It's an excellent publication, and one that I will be subscribing to in the future!!

Explore Bible Notes for adults are a great way to study the bible and get closer to God. Pertinent questions and 'time out' sections offer meditation /prayer time and help us relate the passages to our daily walk with God and its relevance to Christian life and its challenges in the 21st Century.

I have found these notes to be a great help in my daily time of bible study.

The amount of text per day is not overly demanding but the'time-out' questions and 'pray thru'/'apply' sections offer plenty of scope for extending study as time allows.

I have also valued the cross referencing of passages, so that while following one book of the bible through you are also guided to dip into other places where the same theme is explored.

I have really ENJOYed reading the bible with these notes alongside and would happily recommend them to anyone.

My wife and I were looking for something that would help us to regularly study the Bible together. We often find it difficult to make time and to do more than just read a passage. Explore has helped us to make that time and to be able to think a bit more about what were are reading.

I like the way there are questions interspersed throughout the Bible passage, rather than all grouped together at the end. It encourages me to read, re-read and digest the passage more effectively.

I have bought Explore for the first time, on a friend's recommendation, and am very pleased with it. The content is excellent, backing up the teaching I get at church, with thought provoking extras. The length of each daily study is just right, especially after my studies of last year (which were reading the Bible in a year) which needed a long time each day! Now and again I have wanted to quibble with the writer, but that's no bad thing. Well done, I am very pleased with Explore.

I use Explore to help me in my quiet times because it provides me with a starting point for me to think around how Scripture applies to me. It asks questions that are not answered quickly, but rather need to be considered csrefully. It also refers often to other relevasnt verses to "pad out" or clarify a point. My only criticism is that sometimes the passages studied are too short.

this has really helped me to focus my daily Bible reading. It is also challenging some of my perceptions and thoughts, which is making me think and reflect on my life.

For a very long time I searched for Bible study material for adults. I haven't found any with the same substance as Explore. I would recommend it eyes closed to anybody serious in their walk with God!!

Although I have not yet finished even one out of the four explore series (!), I have so far found them a valuable aid to my quiet time, and for understanding the Bible.

Sometimes, however, they can be a bit patronising and simplistic, in what they ask you to pray/think about, but this is easily remedied by ignoring it!

On the other hand, they do structure my Bible study time and give me plenty to think about. Overall, very good :)

I thoroughly enjoy my daily delve into getting more intimate with the Bible. Explore helps me to piece together how everything fits in, in the Bible, a bit like putting the pieces into a jigsaw puzzle.It also makes me think for myself, without giving me the answers, which other daily readings, from other organisations,tend to do.

Explore works steadily through different books of the Bible and gives a varied diet of Old and New Testament over the months. There are 'Timeout' sections for further thinking and suggestions for prayer that are very helpful, also a suggested plan for reading through the Bible in a year. My husband and I have used Explore for several years now and find it instructive, inspiring and enjoyable.

I'm new to being a Christian and have little background knowledge. I found Explore quite hard to follow and understand - probably for these reasons. I ended up selling my subscription to a friend at Church who has found it very useful. I'm now using one of the publications aimed at teenagers - even though I'm not one! It's a bit more my level!

The Explore series of devotionals is exactly what it says-- fifteen minutes (or longer if you want to devote more) of impacting Bible study which is centered in the Word, asks challenging questions, and suggests real action to help you live the Word in even the most "mundane" rituals. This series has impacted my prayer life, how I word my thoughts, and how I speak to others. This is worth the extra shipping for my fellow Americans!

Explore is a wonderful way of prompting daily bible study, it makes you to think and pray through the study and allows indepth study of the bible in small chunks

I have recently become a Christian, The Bible is quite new to me.I have difficulty in praying and talking to other(non-Christian) people about my new found faith.

I first bought a copy in CLC bookshop about a year ago. The range of books covered is very good and I like finding out so many things I never knew. The notes help me discover more about our amazing God. The time and thought that have gone into the preparation really show, thank you. I have found it easy to establish a pattern of daily Bible reading with this very good resource. The daily studies are well organised, and themes are established and developed in a logical and clear manner. As a result, the resource is very helpful in focusing me as a Christian and thus aiding me in my day-to-day life. The readings are not too long and leave me looking forward to the next lesson - in fact I enjoy them so much I sometimes wish the lessons were even more in-depth! However, as a daily reading resource I do see that the lesson length already established in 'Explore' encourages the reader to continue the daily readings without any sense of it becoming a chore. Excellent balance of bible text and interpretation/application. It's down to earth and does not shy away from difficult passages or issues.

Do I practise what I believe? Explore is helping me read systemmatically through different books of the bible. I like Explore's easy style and punchy challenges about how I am living out my faith. I also like its cross- references to other relevant bible passages.

I love this Bible reading aid as it gives me things to stop and think about. It is in depth yet on a level that I can understand. As a minister it also gives me useful ideas for my sermons!

Since starting to read the bible using explore I have found it's emphasise on biblical truth and doctrine very helpful. It's analysis of the Old Testament passages has been particularly helpful as well. I have recommended it to some friends and my wife has also started to use it and found it very helpful. It is also challenging and encoraging.

I have had several different daily reading books in the last few years but I consider "Explore" to be the best I have found. Rather than just showing the daily reading and leaving yu to it this goes a step further making succinct points as appropriate and also giving "points to sit and ponder", "prayer points" additional explanations and overall giving much better guidance. As a fairly "new chum" this is of particular importance for me.

As I Kiwi it also make me feel part of a greater World Wide Fellowship.

Both my wife and I cannot do without the Explore series. It is well researched and disciplines one to read the Bible daily. It serves as a good appetizer for more intensive bible study. 'explore' combines a daily study read with a down-to-earth view of this world in which we live. It offers something more than a trivialized few thoughts by a daily in-depth look at various parts of the Bible.

I decided to change to using Explore Bible notes in January 08. I am very glad that I did so. I have so enjoyed my quiet time with God since using Explore. The Bible is an exhilarating read, and Explore's strongest point is that it helps me to hear what God is saying to me in His word - rather than hearing someone elses point of view. I am also reassured by the commitment of the team at Explore to the truth of all Scripture as God breathed: not to be explained away or some parts dismissed as irrelevant. I thoroughly recommend Explore to anyone who wants to take Gods word seriously and hear what He has to say to us.

Explore is great daily devotional aid

The James notes were particularly challenging regarding use of the tongue. It is good to have the sections to think through as this causes me to stop and meditate rather than just rush through.

I have found the content and format of Explore very helpful and stimulating. Also challenging and thought provoking. The only criticism I might have is that sometimes it doesn't go deep enough, but then it has done the good job of making ME dig deeper and not just being spoon-fed.

Expolore is a great way to start the day. The passages chosen and the commentary are long enough to get a good 'Bible dose' but short enough to do during breakfast before work. I like the way that they work through books rather than skip around using themes, this way I get a more solid understanding of the Bible. The commentary is interesting and thought provoking and often gives you things to ponder on during the day.

What I love about reading my Bible is seeing familiar passages in a new light, and Explore helps me to do this. It also helps me to understand not so familiar books, such at the OT prophets, in a way that is relevant, and challenging, to us in the 21st Century. Excellent for both individual and group studies. Highly recomended.

We are an active retired couple who discovered Revive nearly two years ago and have not been disappointed in any of the editions so far. They are a good length for daily reading either alone or with another person.We spend about 15 - 20 minutes reading which always leads on to prayer and frequently feel the note was written just for us. We especially value the continuity of reading through a book or part of one and the link verses are very helpful in painting the wider view. It is helpful to be challenged to pray through a topic or item from the reading and the practical ideas are often a spur to address something which has been niggling away in the back of your mind. The writers achieve a standard which is constant with variety of style. We approve!

The material provides unintrusive guidance that is challenging without prescribing.

I have never previously found a daily devotional that I have got on with. However, I find Explore challenging, clear, informative and well thought out. I have recommended it to friends who have found it to be just as useful. I would highly recommend Explore.

Having looked all over for a set of bible reading notes which I felt were genuinely useful in getting to grips with a manageable chunk of scripture every day, I tried Explore. It is by far superior to the other notes I tried, as it is "serious", unlike the "thought for the day" sort, and it has just the right level of engagement for use every day. When coming upon passages in other contexts which I have been through with Explore, they feel very familiar and I remember the passage and what I learned. I also notice myself applying what I have been learning from the Bible through the guidance of the notes, which, for me, is the sign of bible reading notes which are doing their job.

Explore is a wonderful resource for those who enjoy guidance for their daily devotions. Each day, readers will find a study on a short passage or Psalm. Unlike many other daily devotional materials, Explore focuses on the Word, rather than an author's thoughts. Each day's passage is broken into smaller sections and the reader is asked to respond - whether in writing or prayer - to the different parts of the passage. Though each day is self-contained, Explore does lead the reader through the books of the Bible. Each day's devotional is designed to take 10-15 minutes, though, in addition, the authors also provide a list for reading through the Bible in a year. (The back cover also provides a daily aid to prayer.) The only drawback to Explore is that it is constrained by only being able to devote a page for each day, meaning that the exposition for some passages can be very short.

Overall, Explore provides readers an excellent devotional, daily guiding readers through the Word of God.

My daughter (age 24) and I (55) have separately used 'Explore' for several years now. The fact that it is accessible and useful to different generations is a credit to you. I have used many study schemes over the years and favour the way it is broken down into 'bites' rather than a long page of prose followed by a typed prayer. Moreover, the notes are faithful to the Bible passage rather than using a verse as a platform to express an opinion. Thank you.

(I have to add that my husband who preaches and teaches and uses 'Encounter with God' feels that the notes are a bit lightweight so I can't give maximum marks!)

Being used to "thought for the day" type collections of little homilies, which rarely hit the mark or stick in the mind, I have been thoroughly impressed with the depth of "Explore" which is a bit more like a meat course (even at breakfast!) - challenging and thought-provoking. Very helpful.

I was recently listening to ministry where explore was recommended as it was consecutive so I thought i'd give it a try. It is excellent, thought provoking and very practical. Also not too onerous to read every day. It points to Gods word each day and identifies that as the most important book - not the devotional. Thoroughly recommend it.

Explore challenges me,

helping me see things from a different perspective. The studies vary (ie. different styles of exploring/writing) so I don't become bored! These notes meet me where I am, and have helped me to grow hugely spiritually and feel more equipped to serve God in the ways He wants me to.

I really like these bible studies. I've tried other ones but they really didn't hit the spot. Explore has just the right combination of reading, thinking, praying and applying the bible to my everyday life. If you want to be 'transformed by the renewing of your mind' get Explore. If you just want to have your ears tickled, look somewhere else!!

The Explore series contains well written, Bible-grounded devotionals that take the reader through scripture.

I've used mostly topical devotionals in the past, and have found that using explore is helping me to get deeper into the Bible.

I used this book for a while when I went to church to use as a every day guide. I reccomned it to all my non and christian friends

Generally very good, it has really helped me to understand some books of the Bible which I previously thought too difficult to attempt.My only criticism is that some passages are too long, more focus on shorter passages would be better in some cases. Overall though I've found it really good.

I've used a lot of different daily bible reading notes in the past and these are really the best. They give an excellent balance of directing you through the passage but letting you do the thinking for yourself. I would highly recommend them!

Over the years I have tried many different guides, but this one stands out for the way in which it tackles big chunks of the bible, rather than dipping in here and there to follow themes. I have recommended it to a few friends so that we can all study separately and then compare thoughts. This has added greatly to the learning experience as we seek to follow Jesus Christ in our daily living.

If you find it hard to study the bible and need some stimulus to do so then this is the material for you. Its especially useful for husbands to help their busy wife learn the bible when time is limited due to the demands of children.There is a daily passage with questions for reflections and an explanation of the passage. Recommended.

Its good and really helps expalin the passages you read giving you extra details. It also asks you thoughtful questions which you are able to apply to your life.

This material is the best I have found for personal Bible study and, believe me, I have been trying lots of different one. It clearly works through complete sections of the Bible with a passage to read, bits to ponder on and prayer or discussion topics. It applies the passage to our lives today and can be done quickly but effectively, without feeling you've rushed it. Written by well-educated and studied people, it is brilliant.

The Explore booklet is a well thought out and easy to read booklet. It explains the daily bible passage with great clarity and provides helpful hints to look at ourselves in our daily lives. This booklet is great to pick up at any time and explore the word of God on a daily basis.

After trying out Explore for 3 months, I bought a full year's subscription for my wife and myself - so that is certainly a positive. I like very much the way that it forces you to think through the reading, doesn't just comment on it. I also appreciate the challenging nature of the applications it gives, though sometimes they make me wince.

My wife is not so sure. She likes it, but has reservations on the style at times, preferring a more meditative and less "attacking" style. It may be that it doesn't appeal so much to women; a woman friend of ours gave up on Explore at the end of December because she found the comments and constant challenges from Amos relentless and depressing. I can understand that, which is why I rate it 4 rather than 5.

Explore is a series of booklets with daily bible readings for each day of the year. The daily studies help you to think about each passage in meaningful ways, and overall the yearly subscription is good value for money.

Everyday there is a new and honest challenge. Also going through books of the Bible helps you see a reading in context whereas many notes like to dart all over the Bible.

I would thoroughly recommend Explore to anyone that wants to get into the habit of reading the Bible on a daily basis. The best thing about these Bible notes is that they make you think rather than giving you all the answers on a silver plate and the authors are direct and challenging. The teaching is sound, there is always a practical application and the Bible is the main focus. The cross-references really help the reader to understand the Bible passage and see the 'Big Picture'.

Explore is a superb resource. I have been using them personally for over a year, and my wife and I have been using them together for around 6 months. They are biblically faithful, practically useful and give not only the meaning but the whole Bible context for the verses under consideration.

Finally, a daily bible reading tool which fits in to my 15 minute morning slot! It is not "wishy-washy" and it doesn't flit from one theme to another each day...... the themes have a natural flow; thereby giving you a deeper understanding of the scriptures without feeling "bogged-down"!
