I've used this with a mens discipleship course, the men we're mostly new believers. The DVD presentation by Barry Cooper is very powerful. The comments from the guys has been very good too.

Excellent course for getting to know Jesus better and for being challanged to follow Him.

Been using it in church for five weeks now among various groups and Discipleship Explored is proving it does what it says on the tin.

We have just finished using this course for the first time. the format for each evening is similar to that of the CE course which puts the participants at their ease immediately. the DVD is very very good! Barry Cooper explains the text well and constrains himself to drive one point home - brilliant for new Chrisitans.

The order arrived within 24 hours,in very good packaging. You can't expect more than that.

There are currently 6 groups running at our church. Many people have joined a group who have not previously attended a fellowship group, so this is very encouraging for the church leaders.

This course has proved to be an excellent tool. The benefit of being able to purchase the starter pack has also been very valuable. I would thoroughly recommend this to any church wishing to help their fellowship to move on with God.

As a pastor both on university campus and in a church congregation for 10 years, DE is easily among the best Bible study material I have found. It is simple and yet professionally produced. No distracting "bells and whistles" as we say. The Bible study material is faithfully expositional (straight from the text) and very practically applied. The varied format (VIDEO followed by TEACHING followed by SMALL GROUP discussion) has worked fantastically for our church! We will definitely use DE again, and look forward to Christianity Explored as well. Thank you for this faithful work!

A good study of Philippians with many very useful teaching points for new and mature Christians. Very good structure: the between-meeting assignments are well put together.

The DVD scores high for consistency but low for variety and attractiveness. It would be better just as an audio CD.

The printed teaching material develops its points well. Presumably deference to the traditions of established churches has caused the matter of baptism to be ignored, which is a shame since it is such a first-step issue for new Christians. The course also fails to provide much of a church context for its instruction to individual disciples.

A great getting together of good bible study and teaching material on Philippians. Well produced and Barry comes across as sincere, earnest and good looking - but someone tell him to smile every now and again

It has gone well. The video is very helpful and we are planning using it with a youth group as well.

We are glad we went for it and we encourage anyone who is seeking to get along the road of faith with Jesus Christ to get it and do the course with others.

We are using Discipleship Explored in one of the church fellowship groups. The course is linked closely to Philippians, and the study guide questions are very good, provoking lots of discussion (better than those in Christianity Explored, I would say, which we found needed expanding to get discussion going). The format of a recap from the part of the passage from the previous week is useful, and we are preceding that by showing the "last week" film as an opener - useful for people who are not always able to come. The study passages and questions through the week are useful, too, though not all the group are following them.

All in all, a good resource, which may well be passed on to other groups in the church.

Great quality, the truth is presented,not harshly but with grace and truth. The clear follow through to Christianity explored which is in my view the clearest development of the truth of the gospel I have seen, also extreemly well done by Rico Tice and Barry Cooper.

We are using both materials in our church and the response by young and old alike is that it is clear, engaging and makes clear man's condition and Christ's provision and then what it means to be a disciple.

My heart is filled with greatfulness for the work and clear uncluttered and pure presentation that has been prepared. Thank you so much.

Our Church greatly appreciated the Christianity Expolored Course, so we thought to follow up with Discipleship Explored.

Having viewed the first 2 episodes, the content is excellent, but the presentation is boring and difficult to keep one's concentration through to the end of each instalment.

Great pity - doubt if our Church will use it.
