The Christianity Explored paperback book, written by Rico Tice and Barry Cooper, is a jargon-free introduction to Jesus Christ.
Drawing from the book of Mark in the Bible the book explores who Jesus was, what his aims were, and what it means to follow him.
Concise, entertaining and honest, it's an ideal book for anyone with little or no experience of Christianity. It can be used to encourage people to join a course, to consolidate what has been learned by a course participant, or simply as a way of reaching those who would rather not attend a course.

'Rico Tice and Barry Cooper skilfully relate timeless truth to our pluralistic, pop culture in a refreshingly relaxed and honest approach that draws the reader into the great adventure of discovering for himself who Jesus is. Using a secular approach to reach the secular mind, and based on Mark's biography of Jesus, Christianity Explored is logical, reasonable, humorous, easy to read - and true! For starters, I want six copies - one to keep and five to give away!'
- Anne Graham Lotz, January 2004
'Christianity Explored is the best resource I have ever read for knowing Jesus Christ. It is clear, precise and very enjoyable.'
- Pat Lam - rugby international
'Here's what I really like about this book: it's honest, hiding nothing. It doesn't mince its words and tells it straight. It focuses on the authentic portrait of Jesus as painted in Mark's Gospel.'
- Dr John Stott - author and President of the London Institute of Contemporary Christianity
'We're all looking for truth. This book is easy to read and easy to understand. It just tells you straight. I read the book three times!'
- Inga Tuigamala - rugby international
'What a brilliant book. I really can't praise it too highly. It is the most readable evangelistic book I think I have ever read and ideal for our teenagers at camp too... a real page-turner.'
- Paul Bolton - Schools worker and Leader of IWERNE
'An evangelistic book which takes readers to the text of Scripture has got to be a good idea... It is well written and quite a page-turner... There is a warmth and solidity to the book... It is reminiscent of some of the great 'studenty' evangelistic books of the past which used to be written by people like David Watson and Michael Green. The book is to be particularly recommended for the clarity of the message and the fact that it pulls no punches with respect to Jesus's demand for discipleship, that we must take up the cross if we are to follow him. It would be good to give to any non-Christian and certainly would make a fine follow-up to any Christianity Explored course. Well done, you guys!'
- John Benton - Evangelicals Now, July 2002
'This would be a useful resource for someone doing the talks of a Christianity Explored course. There are a number of fresh stories and illustrations to steal! A punchy, well-illustrated picture of Jesus... Christianity Explored is a welcome addition to the evangelistic armoury.'
- John Woods - Christian Herald, August 2002

I bought this book to give to a group of Mums who were doing the Christianity Explored Course. I found it a good summary of all the material presented in the DVD and the course. It describes the same examples as the DVD and as such can be read to go over what has been covered.
Excellent reading

I bought this book for some relatively new Christians and it was everything and more than I hoped it would be. Learnt a lot myself, it is in plain everyday language that is easy to read but doesn't stray away from Mark's Gospel.
Thoroughly recommend it to anyone however far they are along the Christian journey.
Outstanding as an evangelism tool.
Review by David Roycroft | 06.10.2009
This is a very enjoyable and readable book. The references to films and modern life really help the reader relate to what is being said while all the truths of the Gospel are faithfully stated.
For anyone who is searching about God & Christianity and is prepared to sit down and read, this is an invaluable introduction to the Christian faith.
The chapter on Jesus - His Death is so powerful. I am passing this on to any interested people I talk to.
Excellent book to give away

This is a great book for anyone who has been to a Christianity Explored course but it's also great for those who are a bit reluctant to come along. I gave away five copies after a church service and several of the people who took them have now asked to come to the next course.
It is very easy to read but clearly sets out the Christian gospel. And the chapter on Grace seems to have a particularly significant impact on people.
Love it - brilliant introduction to Christianity

I bought this as a replacement for one I was given by a Christian friend back when I wasn't a Christian. I love this book. It's incredibly clear, funny and truthful and it helped me go from 'interested' to 'informed' and certainly helped put me on the path to Christ. In fact, I love it so much I bought two copies - one for me, and one for my Dad who recently found faith. I can't recommend it enough.
Excellent!

This book lives up to expectations. We have started to use it and are happy to recommend it. Christianity Explored certainly beats its better-known 'rival' hands down.
