This mix of DVD and attractive guidebook help the learner understand in an engaging and challenging way who Jesus was and why he came. The journey through Mark's Gospel enables a focus on Jesus, not church or religion. The DVD provides a weekly 20min feature which is attractively presented by Rico Tice, from All Souls Langham Place London, in a challenging and cringe-free way that acts as a great discussion starter. Use it with both those at the start of their faith journey, and those who have yet to set their feet on towards Jesus.

We've really enjoyed the course, each presentation is attractive, clear, winsome, faithful, engaging and well judged. The supporting materials are well written and easy to use. The amount of 'home study' is about right. It's great to work all the way through Mark's gospel, as well as to focus on key areas for Christian living. We'll certainly be looking for the earliest opportunity to find other people to take through this material

This course is clear and simple, and all you need is contained in the course materials.

I've done CE in a variety of ways from doing talks myself in a larger group situation with PowerPoint, to DVDs in the home with one or two people at a time. Whatever the context I find it clear, compelling and powerful.

I'll never forget the time I used it one on one with a fellow in his fifties, and as the "What is grace" video finished, he turned to me with tears in his eyes and said, "I never knew he had done so much for me."

I use it for enquirers and for confirmation preparation, and everyone I have used it with has been very appreciative and has moved forward in their faith. Have they all "prayed the prayer" or "made a commitment"? Well, I don't press for that, but I know that they have been started off, or helped to restart, in their Christian life, and I've not found a better way of getting that process under way than this course.

Recently our church began searching for a tool for thoughtful evangelism. We decided on Christianity Explored because of its faithfulness to the gospel message and its ability to create a comfortable context where sincere questions can be asked. We are excited about the possibility Christianity Explored will give to many who are wanting to think their way clear about making a commitment to Christ.

I have been impressed by the thoroughness of this material. The logic of running through a Gospel (Mark) is very useful for providing a sense of continuity of the story of Jesus to a new person.

Rico Tice's location-based DVDs are beautifully presented in a particularly sensitive and reasonable manner – in short, they are a joy to watch.

The written material is accessible with well chosen questions, backed up by informative Leader's books.

An excellent course, suitable for use in church, cafe or pub.

The only concern I have with this course is that it moves rather quickly into 'Jesus material' (Week 1 - "Who is Jesus?"). For people who are far away from knowing anything about any religion, the 20-minute Introduction of the first week is a helpful step, but not enough. However, new courses are coming out which can be used prior to C.E. so these should be seriously considered too.

Christianity Explored is a fantastic resource for Christians wanting to reach out to those around them. Its constructed very carefully, each session being gospel-centred but informal in the way it looks at the person of Jesus. Its easy to run, a great way of showing non-Christians exactly what it is that Christianity's about - just a great resource for evangelism in general. Can't recommend this course highly enough

I am using this currently in a one to one situation, but the cost effective price of this package meant I bought it. Which means I now have more study books for another time. The DVD is very clear easy viewing and points the questions in each session in the right direction. It is also fun. The leaders guide obviously helps with the answers and bible passages.

I am not new to Christianity Explored, having used it in my previous parish. I particularly appreciate the clarity of the talks and am heartened that the quality of the DVD soundtrack is an improvement on the video. The fact that participants are encouraged to engage with Mark's Gospel is a real strength of the course. (One technical observation - the DVD wouldn't play in all machines.)

I am very impressed with the clarity of the layout of the material. There are clear instructions for both leader and participants. Sometimes newcomers to such courses are expected to know background information but this one starts from scratch and means everyone starts at the same level. Presented in an attractive way,it expects people to give time to it in order to gain the maximum benefit.It looks an excellent introduction to explore the Christian faith.

The Lord Jesus has allowedme to d several Christianity Explored series using this material with homless people, University students and most recently a group of students from across Europe who are learning English. The Biblical content is great and written to be able to comunicate to such a huge veriaty of people. It was handy having the subtitles on disc 2 for those who strugled a bit with english, but unfortunate that they weren't on disc one. I would recomend this starter pack to anyone doing an evangelisitc Bible study.

I found this to be a very worthwhile course on the 'basics' of Christianty. The way in which each session is set out brought the participants along in a non threatening way, and by the end of the first session, they were talking to each other about their own lives. As each session moved into the next, the participants were able to discover new truths and build on that week by week, some nights they didn't want to go home!

We used the DVD by Rico Tice which I thought was very well produced and was 'just right' for this course. Time and again the participants found themselves challenged (in a non-threatening manner) and given new insights into what God has done for us through Jesus Christ.

I would thoroughly recommend Christianity Explored for both new and established Christians, and also for those who are enquiring or interested in the faith.

Those who took part were very enthused and their parting question on the last night was, "Well, what are we going to do next?"

As a newcomer to "Christianity Explored" I was pleasantly surprised at the "uncheesiness" of the material. Good, crisp gospel presentation with minimal middle class evangelical embarassment factor. Well produced pack, very professional. Not used yet, but expect it to be very helpful when we run our first "CE" course in September of this year.

I bought this course as a solution to the somewhat watered down salvation teaching on the "ALpha Course." This course on dvd with study guides has a very clear message introducing people to Jesus, salvation and the steps to becoming a Christian. It has very good rich teaching, and is Biblically sound. There probably isnt much teaching here for someone has become a Christian and has a basic knowledge of Christianity. However, on this course the message of salvation is one of the best and great because it tackles the issue of sin in our life and the holiness of God more than this obsession with emphasising people turning to God to have "life enhancement." Also, it dosent rush this issue of mans sins etc., but there is a thread of teaching this all the way through. It also speaks of other issues such as "what is the purpose to life" etc. It doesnt specifically mention the 10 commandments which is a slight shame but he does mention mans bad heart. So all in all is great for people who dont know anything about Christianity, salvation or some very basic teachings on a few Christian subjects!

This is certainly a high quality and well researched resource.I found myself actually looking forward to the next installment each week. That being said our seekers have not engaged to a high level yet. This may reflect many issues other than the content and structure of the course. We definitely want to run the course again asap, having learned from our experience first time around.

Good for enquirers for whom Alpha not right.

Christianity Explored, for me, is an ideal alternative to Alpha - particularly aimed at non-Christians (more so than Alpha). The DVD is excellent, quite short in length and very well produced, the material is easily accessible and needs little preparation time. The format is similar to Alpha and very easy to use.

Would highly recommend this product to anyone wanting an excellent resource to use with friends or groups who have questions about God, Christianity, Jesus etc.
