We have recently used the Christianity Explored DVD course for the first time. We were impressed with the DVD and found it to be engaging, biblically sound, with clear explanations and teaching, but still easy for people of many ages and backgrounds to connect with. It linked in very well with the Chrisitanity Explored study books, and often we would find the issues that came up in Discussion 1 would be addressed and expanded on in the DVD section. Probably the best testimony is that two ladies made commitments to God during our course, and it has helped to clarify issues for other people and confirm them in their faith.

The DVD series is being used in an adapted form for a Home Group study on Mark. It is proving to be a valuable resource.

Would highly recommend this resource for using individually or in group settings. Rico Tice has a lovely way of explaining things & although pricey, it was well worth it.

We were looking for material to follow up an Alpha course and looked at this course. I do not want to get into the issues that people have about Alpha but I think that Christianity Explored is ideal in that it covers the key doctrinal matters more thoroughly and, crucially, introduces courses members to Bible study.

Communicating the good news about Jesus is rarely easy, but this course is superb for any group size.

What can I say except that this is fantastic. The content is solid and the settings allow for variation that simply can't be created in a church hall etc. I have been using it with my Bible Study/Adult Confirmation group and it has gone down very well. There is real challenge here and on some evenings we don't use the questions at the end but instead just sit quietly and I pose the questions again for private thought. I look forward to using it in the setting for which it was originally created which is purely evangelistic. Rico puts the content across clearly using humour and compelling arguments accompanied by and enhanced through great visuals. My only worry now, and the folk laughed when I said this, is that they will not want to go back to just me. Of course there is no substitute for the personal touch but using the DVD is a worthwhile option to consider. Go for it folks....I personally highly recommend it.

Christianity Explored's comprehensive and faithful presentation of the gospel in a format which encourages discipleship makes it an invaluable evangelistic tool for churches. My only complaint is the expense of DVD and the ESV Mark's gospels which best accompany the course.

Having used Christianity Explored on a number of occasions - ever since it was launched. The DVD set of talks is a welcome and very useful tool. It get the message of a restoration of relationship with God, through what Jesus did on the cross across in a clear, well presented way. It encourages the listner to explore further Marks Gospel, to find the real Jesus, and what his coming means for them personally - Saviour or Judge!

Well presented with good illustrations that both Christian and non-Christians will find easy to relate to their everyday lives. Gentle introduction with gradually increasing use of Bible references and consistently clear language to describe the different areas covered. Our church has been using this resource for a few years now, I highly recommend it.

These DVDs are an excellent tool in sharing the good news of Jesus. I have used then in one to one and group bible studies on several occasions. Each time, I get something new out of them myself too. I strongly recommend them.

This DVD complements the Christianity Explored Course really well. In fact I don't think I'd run a course without it. It is so helpful to have another person (i.e. Rico Tice) explaining the gospel, as people can give their opinion on what he has said without feeling that they are disagreeing with directly with you. The people attending our course enjoyed watching the DVD and found it very clear. I am eagerly awaiting the DVD for Discipleship Explored!

Relaxed style and good use of visual illustrations - especially when explaining sin and the gospel message.
Highly recommended.

I went through this course at my local Church just after Christmas and got so much from the content that I decided to buy my own copy.
It is split into key messages which are given in an open and descriptive way with lots of reference to how it relates to us today as much as it ever has done.
Rico Tice is very good at getting across the key messages with some great examples of faith and fact with a dose of humour both from personal experience and historical figures.

The Christianity Explored Course is a fantastic resource. Over 10 sessions Rico Tice presents the good news about Jesus in a way that is challenging and accessible. This is the first time I've run the course using the DVDs rather than doing the talks myself. This has worked really well and enabled me to be more creative regards the other components of our evening together. What makes this course so outstanding is the way in which it encourages participants to get into the text of the Bible for themselves and to interact with Jesus personally. The DVDs themselves are of good quality and creative, though I know some who have found the presentation style slightly annoying in places. Highly Recommended.

This is an excellent course
The Gospel is much clearer than present in the Alpha course.

The fact that Rico Tice is seen in different locations throughout all the prigrammes, makes this DVD resource so versatile. It works very well and can be used in conjunction with live talks or on its' own. There is something for everyone - sport, theatre, literature, school days, further education, film reference and powerful imagery to help emphasis our helplessness as humans and therefore a great need for God.

We are currently watching the DVD at our small fellowship meeting, prior to introducing it to the Church (a small village Methodist chapel mainly of older people) over the next few months.
Our prayer is that the Church will take up the idea of launching it properly to invited friends later in the year.

Rico Tice sets down how we rely on eye witness testimony to verify the facts of ancient historical events and then demonstrates how the gospel posseses this in truckloads.
Rico then focuses in on those testimonies, so that we see the immensity of God's power in what may have become familiar comfortable texts [when Jesus calmed the sea he took a raging storm with 20 foot waves and flattened it ...immediately]
He also demolishes popular arguments intended to dismiss the gospel as the exaggerations of simple people [eg that the darkness following Christ's death was a solar eclipse].
The most important part for me was Rico's dealing honestly with the fact of sin and its consequences for everyone.
This is a great tool for those new to evangelism.

Our local church - part of the national Church of Scotland - has purchased this DVD with a view to holding the first of many Christianity Explored courses between New Year and Easter 2008. At the moment we are training a team to lead this. We find the DVD addresses issues that need to be addressed in a way that is not offensive and yet true and forthright. I think it an excellent tool and would thoroughly recommend it.

We have just completed the second christianity explored course for inmates of our local prison. The course material was easy to understand, promoted much discussion and kept the attention of all who attended. In a meeting to ascertain the impact of the course all inmates had really enjoyed the group discussions and learned from them.Last week we had our first baptism.

Solidly Biblical, ruggedly gospel centred and professionally presented.
No cringe factor here as we share the good news of Jesus with our friends with Mark's gospel open and this dvd on.
Can be used one to one or in small groups at home. Best used in combination with the CE study book (no I'm not on commission; well not with gbc, just thinking of Matt 28v19-20!)
Some of Rico's self-deprecating humour doesn't always work but he comes across so well 99% of the time, it really doesn't matter.
Well worth established believers watching CE dvd too; helps build confidence in evangelism and having some answers ready.

Christianity Explored is a great opportunity to introduce unbelievers to the gospel of Mark and Christianity itself. The briliance of the DVD set is that it allows participants to see a consistent message in each course and also allow, if need be, a chance for listeners to challenge the content without directly attacking the course leader.
This DVD is well stocked with both the media itself and a small booklet that offers direction for doing the course. Users will want to purchase other course materials but as a stand-alone tool, it is excellent.

This is the 5th time we have used the course at our Chapel, a Brethren church, but the first time with the DVD edition. The DVD format is sharper as a picture than the Videos were.
This course, based on Mark's Gospel, does dispel the false ideas which people have about what Christianity is at its heart. By insisting on dealing with the fact that Jesus is God and with the reason for His coming - the sin problem and then with the Cross and Grace, Resurrection etc. the Gospel is clearly presented. As in the past our participants found the issue of Sin and their consequent need, topgether with Grace and their inability to do anything to earn Salvation, the most difficult to come to terms with. I suppose that has always been the case!

An excellent resource that is very clear as to what a Christian is and what God has done for us. I have recently watched these videos with a non-Christian mum from pre-school and have been impressed and encouraged as I have watched my friend have her mind changed as to what the Bible has to say about various issues. Rico is a gifted communicator, I will use this DVD again! Thankyou!
