What is sin?
Review by Allan Huxtable | 10.03.2008

Disappointing that so much evangelistic material today, like this tract, talk about sin as primarily 'spoiling our lives and hurting other people and separating us from God, so we cannot be God's friend.' This is all me-centred - but sin is against God, it is high treason against the Lord of the universe - it is utterly awful. The true character of sin must be clear if true repentance is going to follow - real hatred of sin and a desparation to be rid of it.

Please note also there is a grammatical error in the section, 'Jesus is alive today', second paragraph - 'Jesus wanted Perter and the others were to tell people...'

Attractive and to the point; almost too brief in places
Review by Anonymous | 14.10.2007

This attractive leaflet outlines the way of salvation in five, largely jargon-free, points. From a pocket-sized format it opens right out to near-A4 size. One side has the main message with key questions that non-Christians ask outlined below. The other side is a nice graphic that almost loses the point that there are two paths only - which one are you on?

At some points it seems to soft-pedal key issues. Sin is there, but as "defiance" rather than breaking God's clear standards. You might also miss the one reference to hell and just think that refusing the offer of Life will lead to "death" as construed in human terms.

That's a little nit-picking, and the leaflet is certainly worth giving to any non-Christian.

Good but but concepts may need explaining
Review by sue scott | 08.08.2007

I find this a good tract to use if you know something of the person you are giving it too. It contains words that as Christians we take for granted but nonbelievers may not know. Very good for church goers.

This is a very attractively produced, pick-up-able little guide, which covers the key issues about Christianity effectively. Recommended!
