Something is terribly wrong - with our world, with our relationships, with us. We all sense this at different times. But is there anything we can do about it?
With all the honesty and humour for which he is famous, John Chapman tells in A Fresh Start that God has done something about it. We read about: just what God has done for us through his son, Jesus; how we can know it is true; what the alternatives are; and what we should do about it.
If you have been searching for a book that simply and clearly explains what it means to be a Christian, either for your own or another's benefit, your search is over.

Brilliant evangelistic resource
Review by Fiona Underhill | 11.04.2007
I keep having to buy more copies of this book because I keep giving it away to non-Christian friends! It is one of the best, simplest and clearest outlines of the Gospel message I have come across; typical John Chapman - easy to read, well laid-out, no religious jargon, straight down-the-line. It answers the questions that people really ask - like what is Hell? Why aren't good people good enough for Heaven? Can't I leave it til later? It tells the reader what a Christian is and how to become one. There is background on the reliability of the Gospel accounts, but the author encourages readers to skip sections if they are not relevant to the questions they are asking. I also find it very useful when teaching the Christianity Explored course or in one-to-one evangelism or when giving evangelistic talks, as there are so many good illustrations and sections that I read aloud to people to get a point across succinctly. My copy is very well-worn!
